NEW HOLES IN CASCADE
Saw a backhoe working in Cascade, at the entrance to the park. It looked like he was digging out the streambed, creating a new fishing hole. Too bad this can't be done in many of the other public locations (streams), would open many areas of public access that are worth little in their current condition.

It's owned by the port authority.
The bank of that trickle has been falling down for two years. They are fixing it. Nothing more....nothing less.
I don't always snag fish, but when I do... I choose Little Cleos I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

It's apparently going to be a 5 year 5 million dollar project for what 1 mile of snagging grounds for people living in the apartments above just idiotic. What's next a third fish ladder at 4 mile?

About 10 years ago while steelhead fishing, we got a tip from a gentleman about cascade being loaded with fish. We went exploring and had 20 fish apiece day on that stream. its small but had fish stacked on top of one another.
Any more, Cascade is a drainage ditch for the city of Erie. Six feet across, loaded with trash. There is a hobo camp at the mouth. It makes a good, "betcha can't reach" target for sledders at Frontier Park. Not worth fishing now, it's best to just forget about it.
