Allegheny River at East Brady

Has anyone fished it this year?  I will be making a trip up this weekend for bass on Saturday night an Sunday.  What has been working?  Any places on the river that are particularly better than the others?  I dont have a jet boat and will not be able to go way upstream...   Thanks guys

Maybe there are no replies because either nobody has any information, or because they don't feel like giving up their shore access spots to all of the internet?

Owned by Fush USA, a private company, to sell fishing gear, that would be why.

I'm bringing my boat so I do t need "shore access spots". Wish this wasn't the only fishing forum that people in PA use because it is absolutely pathetic.

It's a 10 mile section of river.  You'll be there for 2 days.  Sounds like a perfect amount of time for you to scout it for yourself and be able to effectively make that call on your own.  You are a fisherman, right?!?

Such negativity towards a politely asked question by what seems to be a newbie...whatever happened to the old members who used to be regulars on here and were very helpful even if mainly by PMs when the info became a little too sensitive for the "precious" fishing neurotics on here....?....

you guys have 15 posts between the both of you.  If you were regular contributors, then it would be completely different.  Therefore, learn like the rest of us did.  There are other sites out there with better information, but since you got on here and whined, you obviously didn't look hard enough. Every once in a while you need to do your own leg work.  Guess what?!?

DNJ, I dunno which "old members" or "regulars" you're talking about, but they are still here.  Helpful guys who are extremely generous with information, recent patterns, techniques and tactics.  Even a few that might invite you to fish in some of their best spots with them.  IF YOU ACTUALLY ASK ABOUT A BODY OF WATER THEY'RE FAMILIAR WITH.

I've been hanging out on these boards for awhile now.  I check the Southwest boards very often.  Hardly anybody on here ever talking about fishing the Allegheny in East Brady for small mouth - if ever - that I can remember.

Use the search function and you'll see what I mean.  There was nothing negative on here.  Just some matter of fact answers with maybe a touch of sarcasm thrown in.

    Precisely.

And if people want to sign up, ask for specific information then whine about not getting the info they wanted a couple days later, without having ever contributed anything themselves, well...

    ...those folks can get bent.

I have been reading this forum for a long time.  It is pointless for someone new to post because all of you princess computer fisherman have a dousch bag remark for every question or comment that someone new posts.     If it makes you guys  happy then so be it.  This will definitely be the last time I EVER ask a question on this forum.   The moderators of this site should be ashamed of the quality of posts and replies on this website.   It's a shame something could potentially be so good ....

    Clearly you didn't get it.

Ask all the questions you want.  Alot of them will get answered, some will not.

Just don't whine like a little baby when one doesn't get answered to your satisfaction within a couple of days.

Do you know why?  It's because you come across as someone who just wants to be spoonfed hard earned information, instead of someone who would like to be a contributor.

If you can't see the difference, well...

Ted Walke, Director of Outreach for the PA F&BC, said "numerous surveys have revealed that people list "lack of time" as their #1 impedement to fishing more or more often". "It would make it easier for people to get involved and go fishing if we could tell them where to go, rather than just saying it's there, go find it"

Maybe you should contact Ted Walke??  He seems to feel for ya

No question about that, both the southwest and northwest boards seem like they have been more quiet than usual when compared to the past few years.  Then again, I'm just as guilty as anyone for failing to make interesting conversation

the only reason I said thanks for all of the replies is that there were 240 views in a couple days.  I just figured someone could have at least said something instead of ignoring a question all together.  When someone asks me a question I do all i can to answer or find an answer for them.. especially a fellow fisherman.   I do my best to help everyone out.  We are not fishing an FLW tournament of a BASS event.  Just a simple question I asked on what parts of the pool are best.  I can easily go and fish the river and figure the fish out, it had just been years since i have been there and being able to find out from people who have fished it at least an idea of where to begin would be helpful.    Sorry for asking a polite question guys... my bad.

Its River Fest weekend.  There is going to be crazy traffic on the river.

I've been catching smallies dragging 3" green tubes pretty much right down the middle of the river.  This technique is not sexy but it has been working since the hot weather came around.

That would be a pretty kick A user name...  It might be the name of my Fantasy Football team.  Thanks.

Sorry, I can't say that I have ever fished that area.  I can give you some tips, but might be rather worthless.

BTW -I am guilty of posting a similar message a few years back, although, I let mine go a week or more with more views before trying to bust bawls.  Like yours, I was asking about a water that not many on the board fish.  Mine was Eastern PA, where we don't have many contributors.  Also like yours, I was put in place.  I didn't like it much, but realized how it came off to many.  Most of the views are people just interested to see if there was maybe some sort of interesting story, ect, whether they ever have any intention of fishing the area.  The boards are slow, and many will open threads that they have absolutely no interest in, or see one of the other members that they enjoy reading has posted.  I was actually surprised to open it today, and read a few paragraphs of drama, which kind of sucks, but beats the heck out of redrafting a plan that a co-worker F-ed up (enough to waste 10 minutes responding at least)...  Just about every guy on this forum has helped me with a question at some point, mostly fishing, but also many other things.  True what was said about the new forum, losing about 1/2 the members that usually posted.  I'm pretty sure a few are figuring out how to get back on every day, and will probably have 80%+ back when the first sign of yellow roping season is around.
