Raccoon for bass (actually anything but trout)

Was looking to head to raccoon tomorrow early am to try some fishing from a new kayak. I've ever really fished there for anything but trout. Any suggestions on spots & lures for bass, walleye, or anything else non-trout?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

heres a tip...dont go there. if distance is an issue, go to cross creek or bavington....the quality of bass at the coon is sub par at best. but if ya must go, hit the shoreline across from the swim area all the way down to the dam and ya might pick up a few 2 to 3 pounders. try weedless rubber craws or jig and pigs....a good old fasioned 3/8 to 1/2 white spinnerbait works too. good luck dude......tell me how it went.

While i'm in agreement with the 1st reply, i should mention that i caught a GIANT largemouth there a few years ago. I casted right on top of the dam and pulled my bait in. It couldn't of been more than an inch from the dam. However, that was the one and only fish that i've caught there that was worth catching.

Also of note: I used to see a ton of Tiger Muskie swimming around. I could never get them to hit anything. I haven't seen them swimming around the past few years though.

Well here you the one phantom walleye that was in this late has been caught.

The locals in the area have always kno
wn about walleyes and BIG muskies. Catches are few and far in between tho. I do know of a few spots. It may or may not help you.
