Cedar Creek Park

I'm going to try the cedar creek park area on the yough this weekend weather permitting. they have a free tent camping area along the yough river trail we are going to stay at friday and saturday night. Just wandering if anyone frequents the area. we've been doin ok at west newton lately with some nice smallies being taken. Shot free camping, can take my dog, and hopefully a nice weekend can't beat it.

If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.

Better check park office. Camping is usually for hikers and bikers.

There's a lot of slower water around the park area.  If you go up river a couple hundred yards below the 70 bridge there's a nice spot with some current that's pretty good for bass and more of this type of water if you follow the bike trail down river (below the boat ramp) toward west newton.  Not saying that you can't catch them around the park but with this hot weather I'd be trying where there is some current.  I am assuming you are fishing from shore.  If boat fishing I would not suggest going down river from the launch... it's quite shallow.  Good luck!
