Anchor line?

My anchor line is a mess...   This got me thinking just how much do you really need to have on board and where/ how do you keep it stowed?   Right now I only have about 75' of line but,  really think I need about twice that much.    Don't enjoy the idea of having 150' of soggy rope balled up under the fount seat.  I am sure some of you have some creative ideas about what do do with it.

General rule 6 times depth you are anchoring in.
Try a bucket and just let it coil in don't just toss it it it will knot up.

I went to walmart and got a hose reel like you would put outside of your house for a garden hose. put it in a little sleeping area below deck and wind up all the rope that way. I have about 250 ft of line and this keeps it nice, neat, and out of the way. for 22$ it was well worth it

I have a few different lengths of anchor line.
Each end has an eye, most ends have hooks and a few have swivels.
Much easier to handle the least amount needed.

I have 250 feet of line and I use the bucket trick, never tangles. I try to take it out of the bucket at the end of the season and let it air out over the winter.

Curiosity killed the cat, but for awhile I was a suspect.

you need 3 times the depth you are fishin. I dont supect you will be anchoring in 4 footers. 250 ft. is adequate for lake erie. I put mine in the live well and use coolers for the fish.
