First Pike
My 8 year old son has become an absolute fishing machine this spring, and he loves to catch BIG fish. He's been begging me to go after some channel cats somewhere, and there's not much in the way of them in the farm ponds we fish around home. The "Arthur Cats" thread on here made me decide to head up to Arthur, and we headed to one of the areas mentioned on that thread. I've fished Arthur once before, on a friend's boat trolling for musky 3 years ago, so I was pretty clueless. We had some hot dogs, chicken livers, and caught a couple bluegill and cut 'em up. Imagine my surprise when the rod with a piece of hot dog gets a hit, and he lands a pike. Later, he caught another one that flopped out of his hands and into the drink before I could snap a picture. I've never caught a pike my entire life, and my kid catches two in one evening. Go figure

Nice work Dad. My son DEFINITELY remembers his first pike. Pat the boy on the back for me! 
I don't always snag fish, but when I do... I choose Little Cleos I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

Way to go! nice fish i have caught many musky but not 1 pike. Congrats he looks to be a natural.

The little man must be a natural fisherman to get a Pike to bite on a hotdog!! And I thought it was weird to catch one on a nightcrawler. Good job buddy, nice fish. Hopefully you can knock out a few cats next time too!!!
