This weekend... importance of the Holiday
As you enjoy your long weekend, please remember the importance of the holiday. There are many who paid the ultimate price for our country... and there are many who came home but still struggle. Project Healing Waters is an amazing program helping our veterans through fly fishing and fly tying. I had a chance to meet some of the members and staff over the past few months and can't say enough about how great the organization is. Take a few mins and visit their sites Like them on Facebook- http://www.facebook.com/ProjectHealingWatersFlyFishing or their main site- http://www.projecthealingwaters.org/ I know Skip does an unreal amount and set up and Erie Chapter... so if anyone is looking to get involved locally... i'm sure he can point you in the right direction.

Thanks for your service Mikastorm! It makes me sick, that I am one of the few in my neighborhood that is fly'n a flag. To most of these people it's just a day off work and cook'n on the grill.
My Wife said, if I go fish'n one more time, she'll leave me! God, I'm going to miss her!

Please say a prayer for my father guys. He lost his battle with lung cancer today. He hung on until the holiday that meant the most to him.

I give Thanks for all who have served to allow us the freedoms we too often take for granted... their sacrifices, both great and small, are what we should be reminded of every day, not just this special holiday. Eyesandgillz.... So sorry to hear about your father's passing... I'm glad he was able to hold out for his holiday though. I will keep him in my prayers.

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes guys. It was tough getting through military burial at the National Cemetery but the Honor Guard did a great job. Many thanks goes out to those guys and gals that perform those duties. It was truly an honor to have them there honoring my father.
