High Point Lake

What a great day on the lake yesterday. We hit the water at 7:30 in the morning with no wind and clear calm water. We fished all day around the coves and we landed some really nice fish. We caught 4 pickrel and 1 pike all between 24 to 28 inches in length and caught 10 bass, with one over 5 pounds and the rest in the 1 to 3 pound range. Throw in about 6 cats and a couple of perch and it was a great day for fishing.

    I AM SO JEALOUS......

    I concentrated on gobbler past two Mondays.

    How are the weeds up there ????

    The pike and pickrel were all on shinners, a couple bass on shinner as well, but the majority of the bass were on x-raps. The 5 pounder was on a perch X-rap.
    Overall the weeds aren't that bad and the worst I saw was still about 2 feet from the surface and the coves are really nice right now.
