I made it up this past saturday and the wind was insane. Made it really difficult to fish. We did manage 7 fish and 4 of them were smallies. We caught the smallies in the main bay and the largemouth were caught in the lagoons when we were looking for shelter from the wind. I wish just once we could hit the weather right because the smallies are definately a blast.

    +1 to above post

Whole weekend was windy and made fishing difficult. I think there may seriously be some truth to the saying "wind from the east, fish bite the least"

Did manage to get out after rotations this evening. Caught some big old bass and a nice northern. Wind from the east started to pick up before dusk and the fishing switched off.

East wind in Erie will shut off a bite. I've lived here most of my life and this quote holds true

I think there may seriously be some truth to the saying "wind from the east, fish bite the least"

East wind or NE wind shuts off A bite in Erie...it is what it is...perch to bass
