REALLY ???

New change in rules ==

- Gave preliminary approval to a regulatory change to allow the use of draw-lock devices. This change also eliminates the minimum draw weight of 35 pounds for bows, as it was deemed no longer necessary and redundant to other sections of the regulations;



Looks like spears are coming next !!!!

    Not sure I like the no draw weight part of that....

    Anything to kill a few more of the nasty pests. They backtracked on the spear chuckers a few years ago when the proposal made the national comedy channel but this is a new BOC and anything is possible. My 5 yo grandaughter can pull back a 15# bow so we are good to go.

    Not sure why the minimum draw weight was removed from the definition of a bow. I suspect it is repeated somewhere else so it was removed from this section? Trying to verify.

    You forgot to include the part where bows of less than 35 pounds draw weight must use arrows tipped with rubber suction cups.  This permits catch and release archery hunting.

    Just to follow what that thingie says and DPMs opinion-
       Here we have a section about the distance an arrow must fly - Cant do it with low draw weight so the draw weight is redundant.

    normally, I just run em over with my truck. So archery rules dont bother me one way or another.
