I would recommend reading your reg book before using a rig with 6 hooks attached to it....

We make 3 rigs out of them, with a regular hook hanging off of the sinker..down to the bottom, jig gently, Perch can't resist..chartreuse works best for me.

+1 to what Pie said. Can also replace sinker with a 3/4 or 1oz jig and rig with a curly tail grub to get the stray smallie or channel cat!

I know Poor Richards sells them and cheaper, so when you get bait before heading out of Walnut, just ask Matt or whoever is there, they are hangin on the wall to the right as you walk in thru across from the register.

These are the best jigs going for perch. Just drop it off the edge of the boat and let it sink to the bottom. Then crank it up 1 or 2 reels and jig your rod tip up and down. In a few minutes you'll have a few perch on your line.

Sabikis rock! Dont be in a hurry to reel up when have caught a perch. If you let him hang out down there in a panic, he will cause scene. You will feel.an second and maybe a third perchy jump on the last avaible hook. You will get many doubles and triples this way. Dont be scared to let your meat hang out. Oh ya, like b.dog said. They will eat a bare sabiki hook. You always have to bait up all three hooks. P.s. you have been getting a pile of info from a bunch of great fisherman, are you gonna remember it all?

as far as where to find them? They say the perch population is around 100 million. They arent hard to find. You just gotta look around with your finder. They will be close to the bottom in very thick bunches. It almost doesnt even look real on the screen. Just look around. I saw some guys post pictures of a graph with perch schools on it last year. They may be kind enough to put one up again so you can see it first hand. Dont feel you gotta fish in a perch pac. Then you gotta worry about everyone else too. I got a little too close to a guys last year with my terrova. He was mad. He thought i was gonna take HIS fish. He threatened me with a throwing a perch at me. I was really scared.......

Sometimes the size of the hook is not the same as the size in USA Japan goes opposite This should not be a problem if buying in a store but watch-out on mail orders

I guess that depends on where to go out from. East or west. I dont know bout walnut. but out from east ave, you can start looking in the 25 - 37 fow range from the point to the cribs. Thats usually where they stage before going to deeper waters. Good luck..
