although it wasnt my father(god rest his soul)i was tought ethical responsibilty while being in the woods AND the water.I do not allow fish too sit in my freezer to rot.I am in the procees of raising 6 children of me and my wife and teaching them reponsibility that was handed down to me.2 of the 3 fish i kept were hooked deep.trout are a dainty fish to begin with let alone after being hooked in the guts.however when using live bait it is almost impossible to avoid that from happening.DONT KEEP THE LIMIT, LIMIT WHAT U KEEP was the saying i was taught and what i teach to my children

I tell you what...this forum and the Erie forums have so much back biting...sarcastic attitudes to innocent questions from
newbies"...so much concern about who keeps a fish and who doesnt!!!!! and so on.....I am on 3 regular forums for places I fish over a year. One in Delmarva and one for Ocracoke area. Nowhere is there so much bickering and small mindedness as around here....I do not recall it being so a few years ago when I first came to this country and these boards....

Couldn't agree more, it's people who think their "spot" is going to be burned (as if that spot doesn't get fished by anyone but you) or them thinking they are so good at fishing and finding spots they have to bring other people down and make wise cracks constantly. It's not everyone it's only certain people, their is alot of great information on this forum as well. Ignore the stupidy and take in the good information.
