Black Bear - Arthur North Shore

I didn't get the camera out in time to get him, but almost got him with my bumper... Would have been bad news. Probably 250 or so, full grown. Awesome looking animal. He ran back about 50 feet then turned to check us out. Last trip out, saw a bald eagle. What a great place. Fishing sucked, skunko, but was kind of expecting it after the cold front.

    They are becoming more common every year in the park. I've seen 4 in the last 3 years while archery hunting there.

    What were you catching? We were avoiding the large mouth on purpose, but nothing else interested.

    Yikes! I have a friend who lives in the park and has had a problem bear for the last two years which no one will remove. Last year it was in her driveway eating her garbage and wouldn't leave even though she pulled in and honked her horn! I post the pics somewhere in the "off topic" section.

    My kid walked up on one that was taking a sun bathing nap while looking for sheds a few weeks back, he got close to one other on that week also. Now for the last week my neighbor 2 doors up has a sm. one making havoc on his bird feeder, he did gat some photos ov it. The one Timmy snuck up on while it was basking in the sun was a Big Boy.

    Yeah the L/M are hitting, had to move a few times early this morning to try & get away from 'em. Man are they big & fat this yr.
