Sharpsburg pier to reopen & give more fishing access

Sharpsburg will have a grand reopening of the 13th Street Riverfront Park handicap-accessible fishing pier for 1 p.m. on June 3.

The pier will offer free public access to fishing on the Allegheny River.

The dedication will take place in the recreational area of park off 13th Street and River Road.

People wanting to attend should contact the borough by June 1 at secretary@sharpsburgborough.com or call 412-781-0546, ext. 11

My wife told me that if I didn't stop fishing every day, she'd leave me. Some days, I really miss her.
