Guess nobody out fishing but me!
Well i been hitting the rivers for a week or so now.. A few runs but mostly have been getting carp. Been fishing the Mon River mostly. I missed a few big runs on trout but nothing landed. Here are a few pics My buddies cat caught on bread  Here are my carp both on liver

nice feesh all around.
i'm hoping to get out soon. 8am april 15th starts my yearly tradition of NOT fishing for 2 weekends. once the rain clears this week, i may go. definitely will be somewhere trout don't get stocked.

I am supposed to give the river another go on Mon night, but the weather may keep me home, hope it changes. Nice fishes.

Ed, You look kinda tired,did those fish wear you out? Seriously though,there does seem to be less guys out every where I go. Went to Crooked Creek Thur. there were only 2 others fishing from shore & only a couple of guys in boats where I was. Bass & Crappie kept me too busy to try for cats,though I usualy get a few there also.When I go to Twin there are usualy only a few guys there also,but may be more in the morn., I finaly got a tag,along with a few trout,bass & Crappie each time out.I think that the price of gas is putting a bite on everybody. sam

Nice Sam! I was really tired fishing all night gets tiring quick. Luckily its a couple hundred yards down the road i just walk to get there. i just bougtht some abu garcia alphamar baitcasters

looks like the aquatourium in monongahalea? ive fished there a few times. when im in that town i like the mouth of pidgeon creek better. Nice fish!

The aquatorium is also a good place to catch crappie this time of year. When I lived in the city(30 yrs ago) I would often fish there in the late evening into dark using minnows under a small float and catch just about anything including some nice 11 to 14 inch crappie. I was really surprised the first time it happened. I would keep a light close to the edge and it would attract minnows which intern brought in the bigger fish. The Mon has really cleaned up over the years and you can catch a great variety of fish there compared to 50-60 years ago when you had a choice of bullheads and carp.

Yes it has cleaned up....I would get my but whooped for lying about fishing the river in Duquesne!!!! I would come home smelling like oil and tell my Mom i wasn't in the river!!!!!!40yrs ago....LOL......

That was only the second time i fished down there don't know much about it just know it's pretty close to school

Soaked some dough out at Peters Lake for the first time this year. Zero action. Gonna take my leftover dough down the mon this afternoon
