Oil Creek DHALO

Hit up Oil Creek for a couple hours today.
Could only manage two on top, but very few bugs coming off.

Switched to a hares ear and picked up half a dozen including the Banana Trout.

And popped one on a streamer...

Disclaimer:::I only caught ONE Golden Trout but took two pics of it.. Wouldn't want the Princess to think I was trying to inflate my numbers...

That is not a golden trout or a jalapeno trout, it is a golden rainbow trout!

    You wouldn't call a musky a carp!

Will you guys get it right.

It's not a golden trout -- it has a red stripe.

    It's not a rainbow -- they aren't yellow.

    It's not a palomino -- that's a horse

It's not an Albino -- they actually exist and are almost white with pink eyes.

It is, however, a glo-in-the-dark trout that the PFBC finds necessary to stock so that those that are so poor at trout fishing that they can't figure out where normally hued trout are hiding can spot them from the truck while driving over a bridge.  That is how they know where to fish.  I'm pretty sure that is explained on their website -- look it up.

I hooked that pali today at the outfitters pool if thats where you were. Ended up hitting 14 fish on top, they were sparse to rise but as soon as that fly was in front of them they were all over it, mainly blind casting all day. Nice fish though bings!!!
