New to the Board-Livin in Pittsburgh

Good day to all. I have been lurking the Erie Board for years, but just started reading this one. Taking some time off this spring if anyone wants a partner for a trip here and there.

I do everything from night Walleye on the fly to bait fishing for cats and carp to some serious gear fishing for bass. know my way around a boat, have a couple different sets of waders, and like sandals and shorts in the warm weather. I know some places and times of year for some hot big fish action, and I am discrete about sharing other angler's special places.

Was up to the Erie Lagoons last weekend-the fishing was slow and cold, but we got into 9 or 10 decent largemouth eventually after we slowed down and went deep with plastic.

Look forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome aboard newby. Read, write, teach and learn, just remember at times someone will poke you with a stick but don't get too irritated and try and play nice. Sometimes there is outright hostility shown here if your opinion or ideas clash with others. Enjoy the ride!

And buy a helmet... Oops I mean welcome to the board. Even though from looking at ur username you joined the site back in 2006? There are far more members on here that can help with the search of fish in the pittsburgh area than I can. But, best of luck to you.

If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.

Thanx Big Country, been mostly surfing the Erie Board to keep on top of where to fish since I joined. I belong to a couple of Pitt Boards that I am active on. Had to buy a titanium/magnesium helmut for that crap years ago.

Got some time off to type a bit and join the community for reel now.

And I have a few things to offer in the "search for fish" department as well. None of my buddies fish anymore though, and I have not been out much the last few years, looking to rectify that this spring.
