Furthur @ Wallingford, CT 4/7/12

I saw Furthur last night at the Toyota Theater in Wallingford, CT with my daughter. Lucky enough to find two tickets at the venue, great seats and show. Setlist was outstanding as they finished up with Terrapin Staion Suite, Standing on the Moon, Eyes of the World and Sugar Magnolia.

    Water temp.,fly used,was it sunny or cloudy,under a float or bottom bouncing? :)

    RG-Didn't get to the theater as early as I would have liked. It would have been nice to show my daughter where her grandmother grew up on 95 Lewis Avenue.

    TB, thats great that you got out to see the boys with the kid's .. Enjoy (I'm sure you do) every chance that comes along.. My last show with my son was CSNY and we loved it !!
    As far as my LAME-O live music lately.. It comes through a phat pipe here.. Thats about it,really wish I could do some local talent as we have some good venues but,,,, TIME.. It blows and the fishing takes all my extra $$$ away from the road trips ..

    Some helpful info for listining pleasure however.. GO DIGITAL.. All the way!! It 's just the way man ..
    I have boxes & boxes & boxes of reel-reel,tapes,dat's & cd's which can all be compacted into digital files in 100th or more of the space..
    Today I just loaded some 2012 David Nelson shows and the complete Allmans run 2012 (keeping the original files intact of course on an external) on my i-pod.. Right now I have 8,697 songs with 32,000 yet to go on that sucker.. TIME...
    As stands It will play live music for 30.9 days straight !!
    Blows my mind !!

    I'll have the start of Furthur run later this week ..

    If we only knew then, huh.. I love the Beatles, even more IF I had the original Albums..lol..
    I am reduced now to ALL their work, solo or other wise in digital.. Once again , Blows my mind how far advanced things have gone..

    HT & RG- Speaking of the Beatles an old buddy did a Lennon tribute with a bunch of other musicians (they rehearsed two times prior to that night) just before Xmas. Very interesting as well as entertaining. HT- my buddy was in a band with Bela Fleck many years ago. Love Nelson and NRPS, they still kick it.

    No doubt the scalpers and so called stub hubs make things outta reach for folks.. The Allmans run a easy 2bills there.. WAY outta my range and far from the $4.00 ticket days..

    Dig into internet archives for David Nelson & Steve Kimock.. Great FREE music from them there..
    Hung with both in the 80's .. Masters in my eyes for the working man..

    I say bring back the days of the Schaeffer Music Festival in the Wollman Skating Rink in Central Park when the tickets were a $1.50 and $2.50. Great way to spend a summer night. Caught NRPS, Kimock and DSO last May at the Mighty High Mountain Fest, Tuxedo, NY. Kimock is incredible.

    Schaeffer was a little before my time. It was Dr.Pepper in my time. Saw many shows. Some from surrounding trees when cops didn't see you going up. (sorry RT, I meant LEOS). Don't know where you are Trout but you sound close. Tuxedo is right down the road from me.Saw some big shows on the Great Lawn also.

    Florida,for me. Sons have played a lot of ball your way. Oldest has played in Dutchess Stadium more than once. Need to hook up some day. Busy rebuilding my boat these days.

    Got lucky yesterday, had a Furthur ticket fall into my lap for the Beacon Theater last night @ face value. Good show and setlist. They did "Desolation Row" for the first time as Furthur. Repeated four songs from last Saturday night, 1/2 Step Mississippi Toodeloo, China Cat Sunflower, Althea and I Know You Rider.
