eastside on good friday....

Headed out on good friday for some lakers and maybe trolling up some smallies too. As of right now there will be two boats tag teaming some of those big ugly monsters of the deep.
If your out on friday and wanna work on a program, give me a shout!

    I should be out there on friday as long as my friends dont back out last minute on me. I froze my arse off and got a couple on sunday and now im hooked!

    Im gonna pack my mustang suite to try to keep warm.
    Hopefully you can keep your riders. We got a full house. There is 7 of us in two boats.
    We should be at the ramp around 7:00 a.m. black starcraft.

    Looking at some wind forcast it looks like the wind will die down thursday night. I think there may be some left over rollers then some chop the rest of the day.

    Laker, laker, laker, laker, oh my.........

    We worked a small active pod of fish all day, we had some fun. I had my first quad of lakers on. We had three go at the same time. While all three were at the back of the boat, and when the first fish hit the net the fourth rod went off! What the???? There was three of us fishing. Thank god for good fishing buddies. We baoted all four. What a rush!

    49-60 f.o.w.
    Riggers 45-50' down 15' off the ball.
    Dispsys w rings 1.5s @ 65-75' & 3s @ 100-110'
    Any spoon with sliver, black, and green
    The spoon that was on fire was a pink lemonade bloody nose. (At least thats what i call it.)

    Once we found a program we boated about a dozen fish. Most were in the 10-15# range.

    I enjoy releasing them as much as catching them.

    My one buddy that was out today did a 14 lbs. brown and 20 lakers he said it was a great day on the water. Nice to see you got into the lakers, they are a good time. I'll miss this year because my buddy that had the boat moved away.

    Wow! I would have loved to see a 14 lb brown come in. It sounded like there was a pack of boats doing really good. We stayed on our own with a small pod of fish.
    Thats sucks your buddy with the boat moved away. If you ever wanna go as a rider send me a p.m. with your info. I go quite often.

    My and my buddy got into em Sat. If yinz seen a 16ft blue fin...with nets flyin...that was us.

    We put at least a dozen in the boat.

    Your right eye...releasing them is a treat. Those fish are strong, and don't want to be handled!

    This was the first laker attempt for both of us, and we had a dozen by noon.

    Great day.

    I don't always snag fish, but when I do...
