High Point

I hit high point this morning. There was 5 other boats on the water too. Temp was 40, overcast, and wind was blowing...AS USUAL...Headed for my favorite spot. Put the first rod out with a shiner four feet off the top. Set up the second with a shiner and thought I would let it settle to the bottom. I hooked the shiner and tossed it over the side and went to wipe off my hands before I casted. Well sure as sh*t only 3 feet down and I am glad the drag was light because away it ran. What ever had it spit it about 20 yards out...I say less than 10 seconds. Big smiles for me. Rebaited and put it out. 5 minutes later rod #1's bobber goes for a run. It stops for a few then disappears. Pulled in a 19" northern. WOW all within 10 minutes this will be a great day.......got 2 more hits in the next 4 hours. Finally had a taker and caught a 10" perch. Sun did come out winds varied off and on all day. Not a fantastic day ........BUT I WAS NOT AT WORK..........
