Charlie if te water goes down it could be really good this weekend. It most likely will go down But there is no guarantee. If this is the only trip you can make I would go with your gut instinct on this 1 buddy

I like the spirit charlie... im gonna be hitting the river this Sunday and Monday for a few casts. Im gonna have the same outlook as you...
man I gotta say im quite jealous with your mention of 2 bonefish trips. I've been lucky enough to score a half day out on the flats in Nassau. It was a tough day but managed a 7-8 # football in the mid day. Probably one of my most memorable fish I caught to date. Have fun

Magic # is up to 39 and may be close by this weekend. I heard they may start taking eggs soon. If the water comes down I will go at least one day this weekend and maybe after work.

Got back from a coupla weeks in the Carib Islands and am goin nuts to get up fishin- Problem is I HATE high water-this weekend was on the plate but might make it a real last minute thingie with that water level bein so high.
Saw tons of nice fish snorkeling and some Whales and Dolphins from the Ship. Even saw some real beauts on shore too- also more Whales.
Have found that it takes  bout a day or so sometimes after the water drops to get all bitey again- hope the tribs arent gettin snagged to death cause of the SR levels - but really dont wanna think about it too much. Truff can hurt.
Gotta really work to find a few days in a row what with it bein municipal budget time now. Meetings constantley.

    BTW-( next day)
I note that at least one popular 'shop site' is pumping up the trib and side channels as places with good numbers being hooked up. While that is true we must remember that fishing numbers are now back up to the 'glory days' and those places will have a real tough time accepting the numbers of guys who will respond.
Having been there in the' glory days' I can tell ya that most tribs were not really on most folks radar screens back then like they are now. SLASH SLASH SLASH.
Guess one must be content with the 'put and take' reality and not let it ruin an otherwise nice trip or two. Tough though when trying to actually fish and idiots walk down the middle of your runs trying to herd and snatch
Someday we are all gonna read bout an 'incident' up there=somebody will eventually get way past mad..

Might make a fun read though.

Water is up to 40, I do not feel very well (cough, cough) may hit a couple criks tomorrow myself. I will stop by the Hatchery and check on eggs and possibly the res for levels if I get a chance.

42 as of today should get real hot if the water ever goes down.

Some how or another the water must be cooling as it gets down stream. Dsr says near forty in their report... what I liked the most was their mention of fresh fish still being caught. They've had a mixxed bag of both drop backs and fresh fish. As long as the water doesn't get too warm, we should probably pan out as a regular spring season when all said and done. Maybe one week early??? Looking at the ten day forecast their is some cooler temps on the way. Some nights in the 20's and 30's. Tight lines guys
