Both of those are nice fish! Ever catch any of those out of Shenango Lake/River? I caught a nice one out of the river last year and can usually manage to get one or two smaller ones just by trolling minnow lures behind my canoe.

Any tips on how to fish that XCalibur One Knocker?

I can hold my own with lipped crank-baits, but I've never had any success with lip-less. I must be doing something wrong. I have a Red Eye Shad that I have never even gotten a hit on.

I use rat l traps quite a bit and found you can fish them several different ways. One of the 2 ways that work best for me is just a constant retrieve once it sinks to the desired depth. You can reel it fast or slow depending on what you think the fish want. The other is similar but instead of a constant retrieve I just pull it and reel the slack line. I'd say this technique works better than just a steady retrieve...at least for me it does. I think lipless cranks are a good lure to cover alot of water in a fairly short amount of time, much like a spinnerbait.
