Up to 1200

I know it's going to get warm and there is a little snow on the hill, but 1200. Redfield will be snow free probably after tomorrow and I am sure the hill will be done after this week (except for in the woods). How about conserving a little water for the next month or so until it rains or something. River will be hurting for water come April if we do not get some rain so the res can fill up.

    While I think they have done a very good job of flow management since brookfield took over, unlike days gone by.. Do you think they might have plans of keeping the reservoir low for repairs or up coming work? It does seem strange to a layman like myself to keep it low ..

    I have not heard about repairs, but my dad who was my main informant on that stuff has been retired for a few years now. I more think that they are banking on April showers bringing May flowers. We will see if they come or not.

    There must be a reason. Maybe there is a mandatory percentage increase per the FERC agreement regardless of levels in the res???? Maybe metal slayer can chime in on this one ;)

    I have noticed in the past that flow increases were pretty common this time of year even when not necessary.

    For the fishing, you better bet this flow increase will bring in the rest of the late runners and once the water goes down it will start prime time for those aggressive drop backs as the water begins to near that magic # we oh so love. I have a really good feeling about this spring steelhead season. Hopefully I don't miss it.

    I bet Dime may be on to something with this as far as the flow. Once the melt leaves (and that will be soon) it will start to tick up supposed to be 73 early next week.
