Shore guys are all over piers and marinas for perch. Boats crowded the head for crappie. We tried trolling for steel after stream fishing, no fish but wind and chop made it tough. Next week it may heat up. for steel in the bay.

It typically takes a nasty east wind to get the bay rockin. 14 ft. boat should be no problem, even on a windy day.

I too was at misery today....threw a bunch of different baits which normally produce bass but had little success....

Fenwayer were you targeting bass as well?

Stoped by the stink hole to see what was up (there were at least 20 people all crammed)...only saw them catching tiny little fish. didnt really understand what the hype was all about?? also came across a few guys doing some damage on the perch...most were jumbos as well... will keep trying throughout the week. wont be long.

I did not catch any bass yesterday. Had a northern take my kast master when I was in thompson bay, but the hook didn't set. Between my girlfriend and I on Tuesday we caught 6 largemouth using white crank baits with yellow stripes. Yesterday my buddy caught a steelhead when we were wading in the mouth of horseshoe pond.

I was off the 3rd parking lot this weekend and I was showing 49.5 on the fish finder. A few nice perch and a couple of largemouth. Nobody was hammering them per say from what I saw.

Id like to troll for steel tomorrow but I might end up in the backwaters for pike and bass. This stretch of warm weather is unbelievable.
