Cold Water Pre spawn

Any good tips or tricks for catching bass in cold water and pre spawn that you would like to share would be great. No live bait.

    1. Suspending jerkbaits. Crank them down to their max depth, then deadstick for 5sec-2min. I usually tap the line while they are suspending to throw off tiny vibrations. I would reccomend Husky Jerks, X-raps, Suspending Long A's, Suspending Rogues, and Matzuo Phantom Minnows. Phantom minnows are only $3 a piece, so I consider them my "Kamikaze lures". Don't bother with the overpriced Japanese jerkbait models.
    2. Slow-reeled spinnerbaits. Pretty self-explanitory.
    3. A small jig or worm crawled slowly across the bottom.

Basically I have always viewed it as:

They're hungry need energy to spawn.
More has to do with water clarity and temps in cold water your gonna wanna have a slow presentation but a good one,
In warmer clearer water a fast presentation.
They're gonna be hungry they go on a feeding frenzy before they spawn.
If Im fishing a murky lake Im throwing the most realistic looking worm and smallest bullet weight I got, and be prepared for them to tale it on the fall
