Warsaw Coyote hunt ==

As of tonight we have only 3 coyotes turned it at the club when I left at 9:30pm


Tomorrow better be fabulous if we are to get to 13 coyotes like last year..awful windy around here today though?????

One interesting thing (for this year) == it is the first year all three were shot by club members...

    The warm temps, winter rains & high winds (blowing in 14 different directions the last couple days certainly didn't help)...

    The yotes are well fed due to rain flooded mice and vole tunnels - and have the luxury of lounging around in warm Feb sunshine (a dog's life) - vs scrounging for a meal in zero temps..

    IMO - mating season is winding down early - I think everythinh is going to be early this year - I see tree buds that are ready to pop....

    I was planning on doing a long set this evening - spent 20 mins in the woods - wind swirling so much - fuggetaboutit... did not even bother baiting or camming..

    Plan B = early manana, wind forecast pre-dawn=low to calm.

    Talked to a guy today that was up at mosquioto creek's hunt.. he said a yote came in that had 8 pups in her....

    I have a board meeting on Sunday so I will get the final count for Warsaw.... and post it here..
