It's over, more like it never really got started this year.

I drove by Rowena yesterday and it looked like it was all still covered with white ice. No idea how thick it is. No one was fishing.

No offense to the Ice fishing crowd, but I wish we would never have another ice-fishing season as long as I live in southwest Pa. Not for any fishing related reason but for the fact I hate winter, much like the reason I hope my buddy wasted 2 grand on his new fancy plow which he only uses for his road and not for income. I hate snow more than winter.

lol...how are we not supposed to take offense to that? Some people don't like the snow, I get it. You know there are places you can move to where you never have to worry about seeing snow right?

Really? I thought it snowed and was cold all over the planet. But I've worked at the same job for 19 years so it might be kinda rough to relocate, might be easy for me to just have mild winters. Thanks for the idea though. You know in northern Canada lakes stay frozen much longer than southwest Pa, there's an idea for you, you could ice fish any time you want.

Relax bud. My post was in no way supposed to offend you, that's why I mentioned that I get how some people don't like snow. Good news for you is this winter has been pretty mild, at least in my area.

"No offense to the Ice fishing crowd", "lol...how are we not supposed to take offense to that?", "My post was in no way supposed to offend you". call it even?

If I did live somewhere nice I'd be fishing instead of sitting here on my day off bored outa my skull wishing Howard Stern wasn't off for Presidents day.

Trout fished a local lake yesterday. Skim ice covered most of the lake but the trout didn't seem to mind. They hit well when I found a good spot.
