Redington Red Fly Rod

What are your thoughts concerning a Redington Red Fly, 3 piece, 10 foot 7 weight, fly rod for steelhead fishing in Erie creeks? Does anyone own one?  Is it a medium action? How good at casting shots and weighted flies? Is it tip sensitive to protect light tippets? Well built and durable? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I can't answer your question but ganders had one of their guide plateau series 10 ft 3 piece 7 weights on sale for under $80. I took up it one day but only landed 3 jacks but i like the rod. It has a 2 year guarantee. If you belong to the psa there is a $10 coupon in each newsletter that you can use at any ganders.

Stillhead also told me he got this same rod and he liked it. Maybe he can chime in if he reads this. I'm not trying to talk you out of the redington as i know nothing about it just listing another option. It also came in a 8 weight. They were still on sale in greensburgh last week.
