Truglo sights or any sights

I received a bow from a friend and it has a truglo sight on it with only one pin? I am wondering instead of buying truglo replacements I was just going to buy a different brand. I read that most pins and sights are 3/16" so thats fine but the length from screw to tip of sight are they basically all the same or should I just buy the truglo replacements?
