Lost Dogs

Hello all I was rabbit hunting with my beagles on 1/28 and both of my dogs never returned after running a rabbit. I am assuming they lost the rabbit and jumped a deer. I was hunting the patch of woods between west park road and 422 hunting towards porter cove. I looked for them most of the day but never heard them again so I have know idea where they went. They are both black and white beagles pretty small maybe 14 inches or so both dogs have e collar with my phone number and there tags on them if anybody heres about them or finds them I would very much appreciate a call. (724)462-5522 Thank you

Sorry to hear about your dogs. Hopefully somebody finds them and does the right thing and calls.

I lost my dog twice and both times I left a piece of my clothing(parka, sweater)there and went back several hours later to find the dog curled up on the material. I had to go to work the one time and went out at about midnight and found him. He was as happy to see me as I was him. Just a thought.

The leaving of your jacket or something else with your smell does work.

The dogs will come back to the smell.

Well still missing today. A park ranger called me they have my name and number on there collars. He told me where they were and said they looked like they would stay in that area and left. Why in gods name he couldnt hang on to them for a little while until I could meet him somewhere is beyond me. When I got there they were nowhere to be found. So I kept walking and calling for I dont know how many miles with no luck. On the way home I thought I should have left my t shirt but I was almost home by then. Gonna go back in morn. and put on some more miles on and see what happens.

Got the dogs back wednesday night. They showed up at a couples house on west park rd. went to sleep on there porch and wouldnt leave so they saw my number and called me put dogs in garage fed em and gave em a pillow and blanket till I got there. They are sore, lost some weight, and were covered in ticks but I think they will be fine. I would like to thank everybody for there help.
