1/8/12 report

Went up on Friday and fished Sat, Sun and Monday and then headed back home. Went up with a long time buddy of mine(stoney) and we had a great time. Fishing was pretty typical with times of great action and then lulls. Good mix of fresh fish and darker fish 50/50ish. Pressure was pretty high for this time of year , but with the nice weather that is to be expected. Fish were a little smaller than a couple of weeks ago, but did battle a few bigger fish. No real specific Fly pattern , pretty much they wanted change, so really not anything enlightening to put in the report , just typical SR fishing.

    Cape-
Havent been there for over a month DARN. Its one of my favorite stretches- can find most any kind of water there  that is in the whole river one place or another in easy walking distance. They dont actually hold well there in Winter  but if they are moving at all its the place to be.
Last time was there had it pretty much to myself for hours cept a boat or two passing by.
Nice to see fresh ones around-congrats.

That's only a few hrs after dark (maintenance)? Hard 2 believe with the rain last night that its going to stay down

Cape nice fish man... looks like you enjoyed some unpressured water.....

Are they really knocking it down to 285???? The lower river was running pretty high today from what I saw and it was even discolored a bit...
