Careful 1800

The river is up to 1800 so be careful up there.   My plans have changed a bit due to this.

    Well I went up north and it was a bust.   There was so much ice and slush floating you could not get your lure to sink at all it would just ride on top.   There was also about a 1/4inch sheet 2 to 4 feet out and the water  was very dark causing you to not know the depth below you.  Fished for a bit and all that happened was ice balls building up on my leader and my leader getting cut up by the ice.   Good news was that there was no one in sight.   I fished some beads and and sacs on my spinning pole and a little with my fly pole.

    hey clint thanks for the update but man slush ice in higer flow and not yet real cold weather seems strange..

    Yesterday I split a bunch of wood , shoveled some crush /run stone and tried to clean my garage all which needs to be done before snow so I can plow. Today I cut a hole in the side of my house , installed a new window & cut, split some more wood.
    Sucks to be me ..
    Now my azz is going to chug some busch & watch football.. I hope..

    Hey HT your inbox is full, I had a few pics to send you.     It was freaking cold this AM and I am guessing as the sun came out it broke a bunch of stuff free.   It was only in the low 20's up there today, but the sun was nice.   I split wood  and cleaned the garage last weekend, but with the tractor project it messes up fast.

    Shoot, just cleaned it out..
    Single digits is cool for sure just wouldnt think the slush had set in yet.. That sucks..
    It was pretty cool here as well at 6am.. 7deg.. as well but great weather to split some wood and once it got to 20 I cut the hole in the wall..

    Glad you folks are getting out as the SR is far from my mind right now and maybe some time (not that I have any) to come..
    When we get some hard water, I'm there.. Hoping Friday !!!
