Salmon River Fishing: Oct, 2011

This has been a very successful year for me on the Salmon. I fish the Sportman's Pool and, this year I landed 31 salmon and my first steelhead. My largest salmon this year was 27lbs and my steelie was 11 1/2lbs. I had a friend, Jay, meet me there and, on his first trip, he landed 2 salmon. I'm finding the best time to be there is the first part of Oct. The water level was great and, with the exception of the weekends, I wasn't forced out of my spot by ignorant people with no clue.
