Dam at Walnut

OK, I know I have been gone a few weeks. I was just down at WC Access and there is a dam almost all the way across the creek just north of of the marina. When did THAT go in? My guess is that they are trying to lessen the amount of debris from the lake over the winter?  I wonder how long it will hold up to the spring glaciers that we get every year?

That's news to me too.  But I haven't had a reason to go down there since late Sept.

I saw it too. The spillway was letting out a decent flow.

Maybe dam is not the best word. It is made of gravel not cement. Obviously not permanent.

They finally took kmp's advice and put gravel in the stream for the steelhead to spawn.

The landowners upstream built it, to stop the run of fish, AND anglers.
