3 Bucks Down w/ pics

Well guys the last week of archery hunting for my family has been something to remember. Myself as well as my two younger brothers put down bucks this past week.

On Wednesday my 19 year old brother came down to visit me at school because I have been seeing some nice shooters. We set up Wednesday night and he called me right before dark and said he shot a decent buck. We began looking about an hour after he shot it. After finding no blood at all I began getting down and thought maybe he had missed. My brother dropped his knife and we had to double back to where he shot it at and when I was walking back I turned and looked into the woods and seen this big white ball. I was like what in the heck is that. Shined my light on it and it was the deer's belly curled up into a ball. Deer only ran 30 yards and we almost walked right passed it..

So I had to come home that night in order to get his deer to my house to butcher it. I didn't bring any hunting stuff down with me because I was expecting to come back up to school that night but we decided to stay at home. My younger brother who is 16 wakes me up in the morning and asks me where he should hunt at. I told him to go with my dad to clariton and set up where my treestand is. Well about 8 o'clock goes by and he calls me saying he smacked a 8 pointer chasing a doe. He said he shot it double lung and the deer only ran 15 yards and he is sitting beside it. His first year archery hunting and his first buck! What a morning for him

Well seeing both my brothers are showing me how it's done I figured it was my turn. With the rut starting to kick in on Monday for where I live i figured I would hunt local rather than hunting at school. I set up in the morning seeing a small 8 point chasing a doe as well as a nice half rack 4 point chasing a doe. In the evening I went back to the same spot and was grunting and heard some loud noises. I turned to my left and seen a buck running up the hill. I took one look at him and seen 4 on the side and decided he was going to be a shooter. I took my shot at 17 yards and put it right through the heart. He ran about 60 yards and crashed into the thicket. It's an 8 point with 2 broken tines and 3 kickers on the one brow tine.
