Great Lakes Steelhead Expo
http://www.steelheadexpo.com/home.html 6 days to go until our 1st Great Lakes Steelhead Expo, November 5, 2011. The Officers and Board have been working very hard to provide our members and guests a top class Expo. The Day will be a busy one from morning to evening.
Early in the day a Catch and Release Fishing Tournament will provide a few fishermen and women monetary prizes and fishing stories for the day. Reminder if you would like to participate to register online or in person at Tim Horton's 2745 West 26 th Street from 6-8 AM.
The Expo event begins at 1 PM and will end at 9 PM.
Food will be provided, including two Erie favorites OX Roast sandwiches (roast beef) and Smith hotdog's. Of course beer and soda will be provided.
Presentations will provide valuable information on near shore fishing, fly fishing, using longer rods, fishing jetties and piers, early season steelhead, and a presentation with questions from the PA Fish and Boat Commissioner. This information could make a trip to Erie worth wile. We all know, weather and conditions make great trips, but what about changing your fishing spot, or the way you fish?
We have filled the hall with venders and non profit clubs and organizations specific to steelhead fishing. The hall will be the mecca of information, gear, and knowledge of steelhead in the world on November 5th.
Please come to support the Pennsylvania Steelhead Association. Please invite others for the full day of activities and socializing. We hope this will lead to an annual event in the future.
All precedes will go to support our world class steelhead fishery.
