while yinz were elbow to elbow........

Well we started out the day tolling past 20 mile with some steelies in mind. All we saw was 5 boats packed in tight to mouth with no hookups. We decided to continue down the shore line. It wasnt long before we had a swell laker program established, and a nice fat pocket of fish.
We ended up boating 20 plus lakers. It was my personal best for quantity and quality for those monsters of the deep. We boated 3 fish in the 15lb class, 8 fish in the 12lb class, the remainder were all in the 6-10lb range. We released every one. What a day!
we had a great mojo today, we never dropped a fish! That never happens. It was like a chinese fire drill on a few occasions. It was hard to keep all the rods in the water. I have had this happen with walleye, but never lakers. Those beasts were definatly schooled up. we had several doubles.
Thanks to my great fishing buddies Frank and Joe, nice job today guys!

We boated my personal best 15.6lbs, what a toad!

It's far from over. It's probably gonna be Dec 1 for me. It's gonna be a long winter, I gotta make sure I don't leave anything on the table.

I'm hoping for 1 more laker trip and a few huron eye trips. Then I gotta start saving my gas money for 2012!

Ya tell me about it. That caudal fin keep her in cruise control 10' below the back of the boat in and around the main motor, kicker motor, and the riggers balls a cable on each side. It took some patients to finally net her.
