Just like Goldielocks and the baby bears things.
Not too hot- not too cold.
Not too hard - not too soft.
    Just right!

As long as there isn't a major temp change just as you get there you should have a good chance at a great time.

Startin to get  little tired here and again - what the hades is wrong today with blue sacs and bein sure they are down low??????????"
If that was some kinda flossing or snagging remark I have a place for it and it aint a flower garden.
That was my first ever blow up here and hope its the last.
Quite frankly I rarely throw out and sweep my sacs but fish them more or less down  stream any how but that aint even the point - the point is the immediate BS "OHHHHHH I knowwwww what he's doin negative stuff that goes on far tooo often.
No darned wonder there are getting to be fewer and fewer reports.

Then again it might just have been a man joke I missed and not anything at all bout snaggin--- Tryin to cover all the basics here.

    On a lighter note-
Gotta wonder if those fresh Kings have ' the fin". Seemed like the majority I saw throughout the season had it- Will be interesting to see next week if these are mainly hatchery fish or more natural spawners.
Either way the whole picture speaks very well for the health of the river and the continued -if not improving- natural spawn  goin on there.
       Hope some bite my sacs.

Rt,I caught a couple of fresh Kings this week but forgot to look for clipped fins.HT will be posting a few pictures maybe we can see them there. However, there is no doubt that the river is full of small smolts in the spring as the DEC has been surveying them and say there are lots of them. The question is how many survive to become adults.

OK took that the wrong way- oops---wondered bout that- Sorry John.

Hey- a biologist told me last spring that over 50% of the Hos are now natural. seemed like that (or more) with the Kings this year too.
Actually as somebody who usually zeros in on Hos about mid Oct  had very little luck with them so far this year- they were there but all I caught was lotsa those lousy Steel and Kings.
The water conditions kinda fouled me up as lotsa the places I usually fish were VERY low or had no water in them at all.  This clearly made for even more than usual crowded conditions along the upper river making real fishin difficult if not impossible with all the snaggin around and fishes that were always running for nonexistent cover.
Best fishing of the season from now on IMHO.

If your sacks are pink then you need to put any extra rubber band around them. that with help in the blueing process. At least thats what one OLE TIMER told me. If you try it tell us how you made out. NO pics needed.
