Colder Weather

Man im really lovin the colder temps...The deer seem to be moving a lot more. I found 2 fresh scrapes this morning and a lot of rubs are starting to pop up. What are you guys seeing? Im starting to get a little restless..

Early to bed
Early to rise
Fish like hell
And make up lies!

Nope----it does eliminate the black flies which is also a plus around here.

Nope. They go dormant, but do not die. Very active on mild fall days, even when frosty the night before.

If you're hunting with a dog in the fall, make sure you keep up with flea/tick treatment. My lab got lyme disease 2 years ago on a pheasant hunt in November. Frosty at night, in the 50's during the day. Really laid him up bad and ruined most of duck season for us.
