Doe urine

Earlier this week I watched 2 bucks playing, butting each other but not locking horns/fighting.  I guess this is pre-rut fun and games.  My question is whether it's too early to use doe urine yet?  I figured that the main rut will be November 12th and beyond based on the moon phase, if the weather is cold enough.

I have seen some chasing and light sparring going on this season already.  From here on out I will be using estrous on all of my hunts.  I'd say it is worth a shot.

I wouldn't count on the moon or weather having an impact on the timing of the rut.  Those two factors may influence daytime movement, but photo-periods are the primary controlling factor for the actual breeding.
