Fresh kings moving below the long bricge.
    Fresh kings moving through compactor.
    Fresh kings moving below pineville.
Don't know where all the wads of other species people are talking about are (not where I go)but there is no shoryage of freash green kings at this point.
The upper river is stacked with kings in all stages.

Can you "splain" where this is; I apologize because I've taken too many pain pills and my sidekick drank too many bloody Mary's...

    Now on a serious note...

Trout can be hard to find when the river is chuck full of kings...

Fishmachine; by the time you make your trip the lower river should have many pods of steel spread out with much less kings than we presently have...

Hey or you could just pull your boat into the head of the snag where a nameless angler was butchering steelhead on his spey rod, back in the day when they were a rare sight.

Anchor up, put sacs on your clients fly rods, add a bunch of weight and have them plunk the whole like a nameless guide did.
I think it was only his second year guiding the river so I guess I can understand.

I'm sure you had another client chomping at the bit as soon as the cancelation occurred.

Tight lines to you and your sports.

gotta comment on this one again since you trolled me up... the tool that you are goes out of your way to troll me up and make subtle and blatant comments about me for quite some time now....

now, with that being said; you obviously take it personally when i make a poking comment about a fish that you had a pic of with the hook outside of the mouth... do you think i really care about that; what i like the most about this whole situation is its clearly evident that the trolls who pushed and shoved like they are invincible and can take anything that comes at them have been proven wrong... they obviously do hold on to little things said jokingly in passing... what a good life lesson for all here tonight... too bad drake is most likely passed out with his pants around his ankles with one hand on the keyboard and the other on an empty bottle of vodka... he missed a lot tonight...

Speaking of that pic. It seems nobody else can blow that pic clearly showing it was hooked outside of the mouth.
Until 1 is posted I will believe it to be a baseless claim or an outright lie by the person that posted saying he had done it.

    DB Good Buddy:

this am 5:30 I awoke from my stupor, lifted trow, removed hand from keyboard and picked up the trusty Winchester 12ga and relieved myself by murdering a dozen or so crows.
Love crowhunting this time of year - they whoop and carry on almost as bad as us nitwits here...

good thang bout crow hunting - I K&R them - just kick them under some brush - reminds me of dropkicking half dead mudsharks back into da riva..

Drake, one morning you 're going to step out to assault those crows and they'll be waiting for you.You remember the movie "BIRDS",well get ready you'll never Know when they had enough of your crap.
By the way have you ever tried smoking them?I bet they're tasty just like the mud sharks when they're smoked.

Pa - I sometimes wonder what will happen if I run out of shells...
The (murders - a.k.a flocks) grow in numbers this time of year.
They were all riled up this morning trying to kill my Great Horned Owl decoy.

I have been told that you could breast them out, but based upon the crap they eat, I would imagine a crow would taste like a coyote - never ate a yote to find out....

One night last year - I was attacked by an owl while makig mouse squeaks on a yote stand. Amazing how big the wing span is via a red spotting light!! Thankfully, I swung gun barrel in defense at last second - otherwise I think I would have subsequently visited the ER for 40 or so stitches.

I shat my pants, screamed like a school girl, and the circling yote laughed as it ran off.
Owl spit on me as if made a second pass.

I realized that I was doing stuff the right way that night if I had an Owl attack.
Even a blind squirrel like me finds an acorn occasionally.

Years ago when I still sat in a treestand waiting for Bambi to strool by I had a experience with a hooter. Was up there way before light so as to not scare Bambi away.Just as it was cracking dawn a Great Horn Owl landed on a limb about 20' in front of me facing away from me.As he sat there for a bit he started swiveling his head to look around. When he turned his head completely around to stare directly at me he saw he had company. Those large eyes grew twice in size and then he flew off without a sound! It's amazing how silently they can fly considering how large a bird they are.

Had one swoop down over my head while pheasant hunting.
Kicked out a bunny and he was on it in broad daylight.
Yes they are big, quite and scary as hell when they are 5 feet over your head and not making a sound.

How can you tell if a salmon is fresh or not? And I think I asked this before, but if it is towards the not so fresh part of its life, is it still edible(not harmful)?

You will know when they are turning into the walking dead.   They turn darker and darker and then the white spots and rotting flesh start.  Edible and taste is the question.  They are still edible if you do not eat any rotted flesh.    I have given away darker ones with no rot to people at work and they still said they were good just a bit more strong tasting.  The taste is no where near a lake one though.  I really do not eat them.
