Bay Steelhead Reports

Thinking about changing it up and trolling the bay, has anyone seen any activity yet? Usually just starting to see fish enter the bay and chase bait this time of year.

Not really. I don't understand a word you said. I going to assume its jargon and not sarcasm as its obvious I am newer to the wonders of fishing lake Erie, but its difficult to find helpful reports on here that are not full of either sarcasm, jargon or both. Maybe the humor doesn't convey well digitally, or maybe I am just too green.

    A little of both....sorry duud

Alot of us do not post on the iNtRaNet where we are catching....there are a ton of people reading this forum. We share "spot" info by private message.

While I wont give up my honey hole.....you cant catch bass right now anywhere around the bay. For me, the city side has been better. I would stick close to the shoreline. 3-6 feet of water. Poppers on calm days, spoons in choppy water.

I still expect you to wake me mup b4 u gogo

Pulled up a decent smallie the other day east of town trollin with a goby. Caught the goby with a fake minnow ans was so annoyed I cast back and started paddling, then WHAM! hooked me a nice one. I'll post a pic some day if I can figure out how to get it from my phone. Thanks for the tips.

I've been catching the casting the channel and trolling bandits they have been hitting while its over cast. Got two on passes through channel so far. Also go one by Ron Johns or whatever it is called. They are grouped up it seems so if you find one circle the area. Also there are a lot of smallies in front of lampe so its good fishing to troll cranks right now
