Small Stream Retrads
Since the Estrogen has been adrippin a wee bit in this particular mental ward, I decided to sit back, paint my nails, and let them dry whilst I wandered off in search of other Al-Gore encouraged feeshy nonsense: Did not take long: kindly enter into evidence: "Fished north of Pulaski over the weekend. We were in a hole and a couple guys came down and said " There's a thousand fish in that upper hole." Of course I didn't believe it until we went up and checked. The only place I've seen more fish was at the hatchery. All I could think was holy MFer. Lot of fish and alot of goons, shoulder to shoulder with heavy line. When they hooked up they would tie up the hole and would horse the fish back or break off. They would not move and give up their spot. The water was actually black with fish. It was my brother's first time up and he couldn't believe it. We tried to needle our way in and I caught one legal fish but it was hard not to hook something on every cast. It was just incredible to see that many fish in one spot. Seemed like everyone was pretty well behaved though. Not like the Tressle. All in all a sight to behold." ******************* Poor Man's/Rich Man's Alaska !!! bbbwwwahhhhhhh At least the Native Alaskans are honest and use nets... p.s. in the famous words of a very wise man ---> "so easy a Caveman can do it". p.s.s - loved the better behaved than the Trestle comparison -- bbbwwaaahhhhh!! ******************** Shooting Fish in a Barrel? Personally, No tanks. yet untold#'s of iPhone users are calling barrell-shootin story teller a hero, whilst they hold up a picture of a candle for Mr. Jobs.. Carry On

Wow, that sounds like fun! I forgot about that site. Maybe we should tell db about it so he can battle dj to see who is the best steelheader on the river. I poked around and saw his 19# steel this Sept.. nice fish. Wonder if he killed it and scaled it or if the weight was a guess like most other peeps? Either way it looked Big.

If it's on 95x then yes--but no I don't bring any disks to work--and don't really drive that far between stops(once I'm up there)--work too long now to keep the tunes going once I arrive--I get out and get it done.

Here's a story about a Orwell brook "angler".We checked in to our room last Sunday the 2nd and there was another guy checking in at the same time.I happened to get a look at some of his gear while checking in,among his stuff was a LARGE plastic bag filled with huge lead sinkers, along with that were several heavy spin outfits and a fly rod(?).I struck up a conversation with him and it turns out he was headed for Orwell brook!I saw him later that evening and he was proud to inform me that he limited out :)The next morning I was up at five for coffee and bagels and the "angler" was gone already, that evening I asked him what time he left and he replied 4:30 as he wanted to get his spot on Orwell brook, gotta get that spot so you can "fish" for those mudsharks in a dribble. He again was proud to inform me that he limited out by 8 AM.He had three large coolers with him that he was filling with those tasty mudshark fillets. This went on until Friday as he left in the AM for home with a load of mudshark. Why would anyone spend their time and money and drive 5 hrs and do that? That place is full of idiots this time of year.

no more rediculous as the the C&Rers plying the same pizz trickles, at least the guy you met ate the fish (God Bless Him) and was honest up-front about his intentions.
