twin lakes

Just got in from the upper lake. Even tho they stocked to-day there were VERY few guys out.I did better on Crappie than trout, even tho trout were rising for small flies all around. Wouldn't hit my jigs so I started to drag small nymphs behind a bobber, then I started hitting Crappie even tho I was dragging it through the same area that I could see the trout rising. The trout that I saw seemed to be pretty nice. One of the few times that I couldn't get trout to hit when they were rising like that. You could see the bugs breaking the surface then fish rising for them. Was a gret evening to fish tho. sam

Fished another lake near there yesterday. Also very few people out. Lots if trout near the surface swimming in groups. A friend and I threw everything we had at them. Most productive baits were minnows and berkley trout worms on a jig . They chased anything and everything but just didn't seem to want to eat. We got our limits of nice fish though. 5browns 1rainbow. Said they only stocked rainbows online...
