The State lands on the 2 streets I live on is leased to a local farmer. Mostly Beans/corn. They keep 'em standing longer than the other fields they lease 'round here. The ones on Country Club Rd. r even stocked for the youth Pheasant hunt. Paper or Plastic? Or maybe a Paper Garbage Can?(PGC) For some yrs. they did close some parts ov Mercer county to test out a Pheasant project that failed. crappy

So what you are trying to say ? That you can hunt over a plot that was planted by other than the PGC on SGL and its also ok for you to distribute Plot seed on SGL as well. Doesn't surpise me ! I can hunt ANYWHERE on SGL that is not posted otherwise.... you for some reason were trying to say I could not ... If the area is not posted by the PGC for a no hunting area or is not a safety zone I can and will hunt the area.. food plot or not... I could care less who took the time to plant it... My remark about spreading seed was basically like telling a joke.. spreading seed is not going to build or make a huntable food plot... but since you did not understand the satire and humor.. try this.. It is illgal to plant anything on SGL ... so NO I would not even think about really spreading seeds to make a food plot but.. and it was already made clear in another reply that planting is illegal .. you must have missed it...

I can hunt ANYWHERE on SGL that is not posted otherwise.... Once a gain Dr Trout you prove your ignorance. You must be 150 yards ( 50 for archery) from an active drilling pad on State Game Lands and it doesn't have to be posted a safety zone either. You must know your surroundings same as you hunting around bait.

Doc: "I can and will hunt the area.. food plot or not..." And yet you want to continually bust on me for being 1,000 yards away form a 1/4 acre beet field that I didn't know was there.

I never mentioned him in this thread ???? Once again the reading of my post has gone astray I was simply stating that if the land is not posted or a safety zone I or ANYONE that wants to ... is legally allowed to hunt there .. that was in reply to OA's stating there were cases that one could not do that around a food plot... BTW.. the distance from an active well is IMHO still a safety zone .... posted or not.. and thus one can not hunt that certain area... that's common sense to me... has nothing to do with me being ignorant ...I would not need to see a sign.... just like I would not hunt a food plot that PGC personel were working on at the time and that would not be posted either... ... BUT ... you know most hunters DO USE common sense quote: I can hunt ANYWHERE on SGL that is not posted otherwise.... Once a gain Dr Trout you prove your ignorance. You must be 150 yards ( 50 for archery) from an active drilling pad on State Game Lands and it doesn't have to be posted a safety zone either. I can hunt ANYWHERE on SGL that is not posted otherwise.... you for some reason were trying to say I could not ... Just a small touch of Hypocrisy there. You have called others out for hunting over foodplots and yet you say you would hunt over them yourself...HMMMMMMMMMMMMM.....

For the last time == I meant I could/would hunt SGL food plots if I wanted too .. not that I do hunt them ... the ones that I am aware of are way to far to walk to at my age.. I did hunt one about 7 years ago but the "road" to it has since been posted between the main road and the plot... it's actually private right of way and now also posted for offical PGC business only .. so a LONG walk is now the order of the day, you have to "go around" all the private property between the main road and the plot now... I just can't walk down that "road" to the plot any more.... used to be they allowed folks to go down it to get to the SGL food plot and other SGL property back there, but guys would end up hunting on "their" land rather than the game lands.. so it got closed and shut off to hunters...........

Dr Trout, I sure would like to know where that "road" you refer to as "between the main road and the plot" is. I have a personal reason to know more about that situation.
