IM HEADING UP TUESDAY PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!

ive been fishin erie steelhead for a few years now and im making my 1st trip of the year tuesday morn. i was just wondering what everyone is picking them up on this early in the season at walnut and trout run. just looking for some heads up info. thanks in advance!!

    Kind of impossible to fish a spoon with so many people around. Stick to PB or an egg sac with floaters. No need to cast far, 10-15 feet out is all.

    I always just look and read the reports on this site, but swimfishieswim that last post is so ignorant I had to make a name.

    You post on a message board online, on your knees begging the rest of us that are up here fishing for help on what the fish are hitting on. So, like the typical fisherman from Erie does, we offer our 2 cents to you. Not because we necessarily want to, because we all know the creeks are crowded enough and adding more people into the pool doesn't do us any good, but because we are kind people and we want to share the joy of steelhead fishing.

    Considering this, you finally get guys that give you advice on what time the fish are biting, and what do you do? You give a sarcastic smarta** reply. If you're so knowledgeable, considering you've been doing this for a whole "8 years", then why do you need to ask for advice? Just go out by yourself and show everyone up.

    Behrendsteel.... I did not ask for anyone's advice, especially not yours as it seems that my post was the reason you created your account. You must be confusing me with the person that started this thread. As you can see all I said is that i am going on Wednesday and am willing to ride someone up if they want to share the cost of gas with me. But your ignorance  must have gotten the better of you.

    Someone suggesting for me to be there at 5am is nuts, considering the sun rises around 7am... I took that as a joke, but obviously you couldn't!

    I wouldn't get too excited, I took my tampon out just in time. 

    We leave at 3:30 am and it takes us 2 hours to get there.  The fish are in the lower part of the tributaries, up further on some.  Go look.

    Use the normal stuff with a spin rod, egg sacs, single eggs, minnows, jigs, etc, they aren't too picky this time of year.  Use 4-6 lb test with 4 lb flourocarbon leader if the water is clear, if it is off color stick to straight mono.  Less connections, less chance to break. 

    Catch fish.  Have Fun.
