yough river between dawson/layton

So we are trying this again. Our last canoe/fishing trip got cancelled due to high water. How is it looking this week? Im not asking for the usgs waterdata link...im asking for someone who lives near there and sees it regularly. I appreciate the help. Thanks.

    Level is about back to normal (if there is such a thing)!  color looks good, slight stain.  Should be cleared up in the next day or so.  I'll take a better look on my way to work tomorrow.

    im thinking about wadin in whittset for a bit early sunday..trout and/or smallies...should be real nice by then!...let me know if anyone else is gonna be out there

    Water looks good.  The rain last night didn't adversely affect the flow or color in the West Newton area.  Color is kinda greenish clear.

    Thanks very much for the info! That is great news. I'll post how we fared later in the weekend. I'm sure we'll get some smallies, but also hoping for some trout. Almost every year I get at least 1-2 in the faster water.

    Make sure you have some nightcrawlers, alot of walleyes being picked up in that stretch of the river, some are very nice in size and fat!

    Sittin here in WN, eating luunch along the river.....its starting to mud up right before my eyes. Its not too bad yet though.

    we cancelled for the 1st time in 6 years :(
    But we went to Erie and caught some stillies :)
