4 mile creek.

It would be great if anyone that fishes there this week bring along a
large trash bag and clean up some of the trash along the creek banks, especially near the first big pool by the mouth. I took some today,
but didn't have a large bag. I think most of the trash didn't come from
fishermen, but it would create some good will with the club, if fishermen
are seen leaving with more trash than they brought in. Just a thought.

BTW, 4 mile was low and clear today, with the only fish being in that first pool, most very uncooperative. The rain falling right now should help move some up higher. I haven't seen any up to the dam yet this year.

Thanks for the heads up on the litter.

lol, dude... isnt the dam like literaly 100-200 yards or so upstream from the lake?  If fish are past 79 on Elk, I'm sure more than a fair share of fish have been to the dam and back by now.   Most are probably back in the lake by now, and can you blame them... that stream kinda sucks.   PLain and simple, there is no holding water there... which is why fish are only there during a run (Except for the pool at the mouth).

The dam is more than 200 yds. from the lake. And I've been there many
times, playing golf, and fishing, and haven't seen any at the dam yet.
There hasn't been enough water to get up the first falls, except when
it's blown out, and I don't think the fish run too well through the debris.
Elk has a little more water than 4 mile, and no real obstacles. You can't
    compare the two.

Same thing with 7 mile, haven't seen any fish past first big pool. Years
past there have been fish past Rt. 5 to the waterfall above Rt. 5.

Of course, I'm only seeing these creeks 3 to 5 times a week, so maybe you know better.
