Loyalhanna creek ligonier

I always liked to take the short drive to the delayed harvest area to get in a couple hours of fishing. What happened to the creek. It has turned into a mudhole. The trout seem to have disappeared and I'm sure it is because the mud has killed off the insect life. How the hell was that allowed to happen. I saw the storm sewers or whatever being installed but didn't someone make sure the contractor was safe guarding the stream. What a mess and I hope someone will be held responsible.

In that section, not sure. In that creek. Yes. At least I saw some last week.

yes. I have caught many holdover rainbows and some beautiful browns in the past. That section is fed by some springs and that is why they designated it as delayed harvest area.

If you'rs concerned call the Westmoreland County Conservation District and tell them you think a contractor is not conforming to the E&S plan and fullfilling Best Management Practices on his job.

Thanks. I'll try that although it looks like it's too late.
