Looking for Stripers

What lakes in central and w Pa have striper bass in them ? I am gearing up for these critters and would like to know my closest access to the big fellas. I've started fishing for them down south a few years ago and we have a great time catching them.

Lake Arthur as well Pymie has some but you can find exact locations by finding where they stock and looking at their hot spots listed by PFBC

As far as pure bred Stripers Raystown is your only option. Hybrids are stocked in Arthur, Shenango, and the 3 rivers.

For W & C PA, as asked, Fish Hard nailed it. If you venture east, there is a lake in the Poconos, called Wallenwaupuck (sp) and the Deleware River and some tribs (Schullkill) have them when they run from the ocean. There are a few others around the state that have hybrids. A few in the York area, Redman and Pinchot.

Pretty sure the ones in Pymy escaped from their hatchery. I don't think they are intentionally stocked, so wouldn't focus too much energy there. Would be a pretty nice surprise with a cooler full of walleye and crappie though.

BTW - Strictly for numbers, the 3 rivers can't be beat. To note, the 3 Rivers when it comes to wipers, are the Ohio, Mon and Beaver. Allegheny only gets them stocked below HPD (Pittsburgh Pool). Anything above there, made their way through the locks. Allegheny walleye population does their job naturally from HPD north.
